DMCA and takedowns

Tiny Desk AI accepts reports about content that may infringe someone’s rights. The support contact will be displayed before public launch.
Copyright reports
Use the published support/reporting email to identify the material and the rights at issue. For a formal US DMCA notice, include a physical or electronic signature of the owner or authorised representative, identify the copyrighted work, locate the disputed material with specific URLs, provide contact details, state a good-faith belief that the use lacks authorisation by the owner, agent or law, and confirm accuracy and authority under penalty of perjury. Do not send a general keyword search instead of the location of the material.
What happens after a report
We assess a sufficiently detailed report and may disable access to material we control while investigating. Where appropriate and lawful, we notify the submitting user and explain a route to challenge an error. Information in a notice may be shared with the affected person as needed for the process. We can request missing information. Bad-faith or materially false reports can have legal consequences.
Counter-notifications
If a US DMCA removal was mistaken, a formal counter-notification should identify the removed material and its former location, include your signature and contact information, and state under penalty of perjury that the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification. It must also contain the required consent to the relevant US federal court’s jurisdiction and acceptance of service from the original notifier. A counter-notice can be forwarded to the notifier. If the statutory process applies, the usual restoration window is 10–14 business days after receipt, unless notice of the relevant court action is received or another lawful restriction applies. This differs from the ordinary support-review timetable.
Repeat infringement and service restrictions
Serious or repeated infringement may lead to removal, restricted access or account termination. We consider the evidence and any appeal; filing a notice does not itself determine ownership or make an allegation conclusive. Privacy, likeness and other non-copyright concerns can be reported through the Terms reporting procedure.
Music and reference material
A generated video does not grant rights in a third-party song, source recording, performance, trademark or likeness. A claim that content is a parody does not automatically resolve those rights. Original audio must be cleared for the intended distribution. We do not claim affiliation with NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts or the artists.
Contact and response times
The reporting email and operator details will be published before the service opens for purchases. No account is required to submit a notice. Ordinary reports and appeals follow the email acknowledgement, investigation and extension process in the Terms. Statutory copyright deadlines take precedence when they apply.
