# Tiny Desk AI

> Tiny Desk AI turns one to five portraits into a 19-second vertical desk-concert video with no watermark. Each portrait takes one band role — lead singer, keys, saxophone and two backing singers — and the roles you leave empty are filled by the site’s own fictional performers, so one photo is enough for a five-piece band. A video costs 10 credits at 480p or 15 at 720p HD however many roles you cast, and a generation that fails returns its credits. Independent of NPR.

## What a video is

- Format: 9:16 vertical MP4 · 480p, or 720p HD
- Frame size: 480×854 at 10 credits, 720×1280 at 15
- Encoding: h264, 24 frames per second, 457 frames
- Length: About 19 seconds
- Audio: Fixed source soundtrack, plus a silent copy
- Files delivered: two per video, one carrying the soundtrack and one with no audio track at all
- Watermark: none
- Cast: five named roles — lead, keys, sax, left backing singer, right backing singer. Fill one or all five; the credit charge is the same either way
- Empty roles: played by the fixed fictional performers the site supplies, so a single portrait still yields a five-piece band
- Measured render time: our own 480p jobs have finished in roughly four to six minutes. 720p HD takes considerably longer; too few runs to quote a figure
- Failed generations: the reserved credits return automatically
- Price: one-time credit packs from $12.99, no subscription

A result is an AI edit of a fixed reference performance, so likeness, motion and lip sync vary and an exact reconstruction is not promised. Music and likeness rights are separate from making a video. Get a person's permission before uploading their photo or making a video of them. This service is independent of NPR and its Tiny Desk series.
